At Surfaces 2010, Patricia Flavin speaks on … Marketing to the Ultimate Power Consumer
The industry has long understood that the female consumer makes the vast majority of purchase decisions regarding floor covering. However, manufacturers and retailers often struggle to effectively market to women. Ms. Flavin was part of the Beaulieu team that successfully launched the female-friendly Bliss brand of carpet at Surfaces 2008. Since that time, she has been the industry’s chief advocate for the woman’s point-of-view when it comes to floor covering.

Born in Dublin, Ireland and mother of four, Patricia Flavin is the Sr. VP of Marketing for Beaulieu of America and helped position and launch Bliss by Beaulieu, a new carpet brand designed, marketed and merchandised to women. Ms. Flavin was elected Vice-Chairman of the Marketing Issues Committee for the Carpet and Rug Institute in 2009.
Prior to Beaulieu, she marketed her own highly successful line of health and beauty products; as well as jewelry and fashion accessories for 17 years on major shop-at-home cable channels. Ms. Flavin also established markets for Regina brand cosmetics line throughout Europe and Asia.
