We are pleased to announce the scheduled opening March 1st of our carpet installing and carpet sculpting school located at 4427 Lake Avenue in the historic Charlotte section of Rochester, NY.

Former Ithaca, NY native and Rochester resident, Geoffrey Howe, Master Sculptor/Mentor will be teaching the installing segment with help from Eric Larson, owner of Caliber Floors, a carpet installation business and Caliber Publications in Marion, Iowa. Eric is a member of the International Certified Floorcovering Installers Association and is certified through Residential II and Commercial II. Eric is also author of “The Carpet Installation Training Handbook” and this manual will be used in the training. Eric's manual is so thorough that RRSVP is using it as the backbone of their revolutionary entry level 'Qualified Carpet Installation Apprentice Associate Program'. Eric will be certifying our trainees in the last week of their training with oral, written and hands on testing.

Geoffrey Howe, is a Master Carpet Sculptor/Mentor, who also wants to change the way you look at floorcovering, he wants to raise carpet from the floor to fine art. Rochester Rug Sculpting and Vocational Programs is the culmination of more than 30+ years as a flooring technician, (carpet, hard surface, both residential and commercial). Mr. Howe's work has been featured in several Gannett Publicatons, industry standard 'Floor Covering Weekly', 'Esquire', 'Truckin' Magazine', and several upstate publications. He has been featured on television in an R News feature, (viewable clip on website), and his work was also featured in a segment of 'Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.' Around the Rochester area, his work can also be seen at Canandaigua Bank's Main St. location, Espresso Garden Cafe, The Downtown Fitness Club, Skuse St. Customs, Auto Finishers, and AAW, Auto Accessory World.

Geoffrey and RRSVP are targeting entry level students with specific attention to the following groups: Veterans, Native Americans, Minorities and at risk youth as well as those seeking a second income, or a new skill in both basic carpet installation and his avocation, Carpet Sculpting. The school also offers a separate two week module of Carpet Sculpting for those that want to learn this lucrative art form.
