New Jersey Chapter of ASID Announces Science of Design: Symposium & Design Fair Open to all Trade
Keynote luncheon speaker Randy Fiser, CEO of ASID, will present a CEU with the Well Building Institute. In addition, there will be two other CEUs (approved by AIA as well). A Design Fair with an array of new products and resources for every segment of the industry will be open from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
From 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. there is a walking CEU and panel discussion around the Skyscraper exhibit on display at the Liberty Science Center. The exhibit explores the planning, design, engineering and technology of these structures and their effect on human culture, the environment, and even local weather patterns. A cocktail reception from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. concludes the day.
Sherwin-Williams, an industry leader in the development of technologically advanced paint and coatings for more than 150 years, is the keynote CEU and luncheon sponsor. Media sponsors include Aspire Design and Home and Design NJ: New Jersey's Home and Design Magazine.
"The Science of Design promises to be our best event yet, allowing attendees to gain new insights in the field of design, cultivate new relationships and discover new products and resources in this stimulating, interactive environment," said Anna Maria Mannarino, President of the New Jersey Chapter of ASID. "It is also a great opportunity for our Industry Partners and others to exhibit their latest innovations to a receptive audience and to strengthen connections with the design community. Exhibitors and sponsors will enjoy never-before-seen opportunities for product and brand visibility."
Tickets are $125 each. A shuttle from the Liberty Landing Ferry to the Liberty Science Center will be provided free of charge.

About ASID
The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) believes that design transforms lives. ASID serves the full range of the interior design profession and practice through the Society’s programs, networks, and advocacy. We thrive on the strength of cross-functional and interdisciplinary relationships among designers of all specialties, including workplace, healthcare, retail and hospitality, education, institutional, and residential. We lead interior designers in shared conversations around topics that matter: from evidence-based and humancentric design to social responsibility, well-being, and sustainability. We showcase the impact of design on the human experience and the value interior designers provide.
ASID was founded 40 years ago when two organizations became one, but its legacy dates back to the early 1930s. As we celebrate nearly 85 years of industry leadership, we are leading the future of interior design, continuing to integrate the advantages of local connections with national reach, of small firms with big, and of the places we live with the places we work, play, and heal.
