Quick-Step Launches New Hardwood Products
Dallas, TX – January 18, 2017 – Q-Wood by Quick-Step — a unique product assortment targeting consumers seeking luxurious premium hardwood flooring — is expanding its Elongé wider/longer collection to now include wirebrushed floors with a lovely, soft finish cerused wood visual. The new Elongé designs evoke a hand-crafted quality and appeal to the large number of consumers seeking hardwood floors that bring a rustic, time- worn, or character wood look to a room. The new Elongé ceruse additions offer a special kind of rusticity — soft, time-worn artistry.

“Like Quick-Step laminate, Q-Wood Elongé’s New Sea Breeze Oak hardwood is a fashion-driven product line that offers the richest, most sophisticated premium looks available in tandem with low maintenance and resistance to the wear of daily living,” said Roger Farabee, senior vice president of laminate & hardwood for Mohawk North American Flooring. “Our new Q-Wood Elongé ceruse designs offer style and craftsmanship through unique artisan hardwood floors designed with the latest trends in mind. Three of today’s hottest trends are longer/wider planks, wirebrused surfaces, and cerused visuals. The new Elongé line additions offer all of these attributes in a spectrum of fashion-forward colors with ceruse staining that features a combination of grey, white, and beige tones.”

NEW Elongé Additions

• Chandelier Oak
• Snow Day Oak
• Sea Breeze Oak
• Rain Puddle Oak
• Brownie Batter Oak

Elongé’s new oak decors are offered in ½” thick planks that vary in lengths up to 72” and are available in single 7” wide planks.

All Elongé floors feature a matte finish and medium to high shade variation. The new products include a tongue and groove locking system.
All Q-Wood products, including the new Elongé line extensions, feature the Opulux Performance Enhanced Finish. Opulux is a cross-linked coating system that illuminates the beauty of the grain, offering the appearance of an oil finish while maintaining the advantages of a conventional urethane floor. Opulux also provides a protective top coat that shields against stains and every day wear.

“Important to note is that even the highest quality floors are not impervious to scuffs and scratches from years of traffic,” said Farabee. “With our Opulux finish, if a floor begins to show those tell-tale signs of wear, the Q-Wood floor can be easily refreshed with our Renewal Revitalizing Solution. Use of this unique revitalizing solution hides scuffs and scratches providing premium hardwood with extraordinary performance. Products with enhanced performance features give retailers a legitimate sales advantage over their competitors.”

Q-Wood is finished in the U.S.A. and made from wood that is sustainable and has been responsibly harvested. In addition, Q-Wood’s Elongé is FloorScore certified, CARB compliant, and all raw materials are Lacey Act compliant.

All of Quick-Step’s new and existing hardwood products will be prominently showcased in the Quick-Step booth #5603 located on the Surfaces show floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, January 18th through 20th.
