Wicanders unveils floating floor
Hanover, MD.—Wicanders Cork Oak Flooring introduced an integrated floating floor called CorkLoc. This system is neither glued nor nailed to the sub-floor; rather, it is locked into place by high-density tongue-and-groove center fiberboards.

Cork Oak’s natural compressibility lends itself to the application of a precisely engineered floating floor. Precise engineering means a seamless look and feel. It also means a healthier living space. Within the cracks and crevices of other floors lies ground-in trafficked dirt, moisture, bacteria, etc. that may attract pests. With the new Wicanders CorkLoc system, a seamless sheath of natural Cork Oak tightly locks together.

Wicanders Cork Oak floating floor tiles are engineered with the patented CorkLoc system on all four sides. Each edge is comprised of durable compressed cork fiberboard and Cork Protect, a natural paraffin-based all-around-edge sealing system. The seal seamlessly vacuum locks against moisture and debris.

Other attributes:

• The unique cellular structure is impenetrable to moisture, mildew, fungus, dirt, debris and insects.
• CorkLoc ensures an absolutely seamless installation on any flooring project.
• The subtle variance of natural texture and tone within each sheath of Cork Oak lends a unique cast to every project.
• Exposure to unhealthy particles, potentially dangerous microbes and harmful varnishes are significantly reduced.
• CorkLoc can be laid on top of most hard surfaces such as resilient, wood and ceramic tile.
