Eliane Holds 2007 National Distributors Meeting
Eliane North America, a world leader in the manufacturing of porcelain and ceramic tile, held its annual national distributors meeting December 4-5, 2007, at a new location: The Four Seasons Resort and Club in Irving, Texas.
The two-day event, which was hosted by Eliane’s general manager, Marcio Muller, was attended by noteworthy individuals in the tile industry, as importers, distributors and top industry professionals gathered at the hotel for cocktail events, a gourmet dinner, and a first glance at Eliane’s new product offerings for 2008.
"Eliane is an excellent company,” said Doug Turner of Royalty Carpet. “The people are focused and customer service is offered at a very high level. In particular, they keep coming out with interesting products"
Tile professionals were able to view new products from Brazil’s leading ceramic tile manufacturer, including Contemporanea, a large format technical porcelain tile series inspired by the textures, colors, and architecture of a contemporary urban metropolis. Also introduced at the meeting was Matéria, a collection of enameled porcelain tile inspired by oxidized metals featuring geometric and floral designs in lustrous, lapped textures.
“Eliane scheduled the individual meetings in a very convenient manner for the distributor,” said Larry Atkins, vice president and general sales manager of American Tile Supply. “I could look with great detail at several new series, spending as much or as little time as suited me before moving to the next alternative. Distributors were treated to an evening of cocktails, dinner, and conversations with peers from other geographical regions. This informal format re-united me with several past associates to discuss current challenges and opportunities,” Atkins said.
