West Point Carpet One Floor & Home

In the beginning, Rocky Gentry was an installer by trade. He installed anything from carpet to tile to hardwood. Rocky installed flooring for over 20 + years. He was then offered a sales position with one of the local flooring retail shops in the town of Greeley, CO. Rocky excelled in sales instantly and by 1998 was presented with an offer he couldn’t refuse, to buy and own his own business! He wanted a “small town business” with a customer centered attitude to go with it. In 1998, Rocky purchased The Rug Company, later naming it West Point Interiors.

Meanwhile, Rocky’s son, Tyler, was in college working part time at the store while obtaining his college degree in Elementary Education. With the store booming, the growth pattern and need for additional management, Tyler came on full time with West Point Interiors in 2004.

In 2008 Rocky, Tyler and Mike Hergenreter (long time Project Manager with 20 + years with West Point) went on a trip to explore the co-op opportunity that Carpet One Floor & Home presented. West Point Interiors became West Point Carpet One Floor & Home in 2008. Belonging to CCA Global Partners Carpet One Floor & Home allows us to magnify the purchasing power for the products we install and then pass along the savings to our customers.

West Point Carpet One Floor & Home is truly a family owned business! Rocky is now retired, very well deserved, enjoying time with his beautiful wife and family. He continues to work at West Point Carpet One ensuring we provide the best customer service in the industry and trouble-shooting when necessary due to his extensive knowledge and years of experience in the industry. Tyler is our Owner that leads all our sales and handles all day to day operations. Tyler is a family man that loves his wife, kiddos and their farmhouse. Tina Gentry, a cousin-in-law is the Business Manager for West Point Carpet One and Christen Ruth, a sister-in-law, who is one of the lead Project Managers here at West Point Carpet One. As part of our family also, we have over 20 full time employees, along with 40+ sub-contracted installation crews that we employ daily!

Now, nearly three decades later, Rocky’s flooring business and the town of Greeley are no longer small, but West Point Carpet One Floor & Home continues to operate with a ‘small town’ attitude - both with regards to the employees and to their customers.
