Mannington Mills Donates Flooring for Gary Sinise RISE Foundation
In the 11 years that followed Barron’s injury, it became increasingly clear that the Marine (now retired, and a husband and father of three) needed a home customized to his physical needs so he could move forward with life in a more independent way. The Gary Sinise Foundation’s R.I.S.E. program has made that possible with the completion of this new Temecula, California, home.
“Mannington’s Park City hardwood flooring is ideal for this home because it creates a continuous, durable surface that makes for easy wheelchair navigation and whole-house access,” says Dan Natkin, Mannington Vice President, Hardwood and Laminate. “The members of our military and their families make many sacrifices through their service. Mannington was pleased to help with the home of this veteran and his family.”
About The Gary Sinise Foundation
The Gary Sinise Foundation honors America’s defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need. Through its R.I.S.E. program (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment), specially-adapted smart homes are constructed for severely wounded veterans nationwide. Each one-of-a-kind home is customized to ease the everyday burdens of a wounded hero, their family, and caregivers. For more information, please visit GarySiniseFoundation.org.
