What Will Home Look Like in 2030?
NEW YORK, Nov. 9, 2020 – Who says? Members of the International Furnishings & Design Association (IFDA) and other experts in the U.S. home furnishings and design business. As they did in 2000 and 2010, the New York Chapter of IFDA has looked into their “Crystal Ball” via an online survey to foresee the American home 10 years into tomorrow. If you're interested in the business of home, the results of this IFDA survey and the noted authorities that will be weighing in, mark your calendar and join the Zoom for: THE FUTURE OF HOME: How Our Homes and Home Life Are About to Change sponsored by IFDA NY Chapter. The event will take place via Zoom Wednesday, November 18 at 11 a.m. The event is free to non-members; members: $5. Click on the link below to register.

“Guides to the future” for the event include acclaimed journalist and author Warren Shoulberg, Anthony Carrino of HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins and Mary and Al Giaquinto of Plum Buliders. The discussion will be moderated by Rose Gilbert, FIFDA and a notable journalist and author herself. IFDA NY Treasurer Jennifer Munich will give a summary presentation.

“This should be an exciting program relevant to so many facets of the design/furnishings world,” said Susan Hirsh, FIFDA, who heads up the IFDA NY Crystal Ball committee, which conducted the survey and is organizing this virtual event.
