Lauzon honors top retailers, distributors
LAS VEGAS—Lauzon Distinctive Hardwood Flooring paid tribute to its top U.S. and Canadian retailers and distributors during a special awards event here.
The Canadian hardwood manufacturer presented awards to its top specialty retailers in both the U.S. and Canada as well as the company’s top wholesalers in each country. In addition, Lauzon named its Local Retailer of the Year, which honors a dealer for service to one’s local community.
NRF Distributors of Augusta, Me., won Lauzon’s U.S. Distributor of the Year for “outstanding business success,” stated Mario Bergamin, the mill’s vice president of sales. “NRF stood out throughout last year for its sales excellence,” noting the wholesaler’s 400-plus team is dedicated to Lauzon and its products.
The Canadian Distributor of the Year honor went to TRC Distribution of Calgary, Alberta. Bergamin cited the 13-year-old wholesaler for how much it expanded its distribution region to include not only Alberta, but British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Nunavut—the Northwest and Yukon Territories.
Zauss-Godwin Hardwood Flooring from San Diego was named U.S. Retailer of the Year. In business for more than 30 years, Zauss-Godwin has two retail showrooms with 95% of its business coming from referrals. “The Zauss-Godwin name is synonymous with outstanding customer service,” Bergamin said, “and we are proud of the company’s dedication to Lauzon’s products.”
Gryphon Hardwood Floors of Calgary, Alberta, reclaimed the Canadian Retailer of the Year award, an honor it previously won in 2006. With five installation crews, Gryphon was Lauzon’s largest volume dealer in southern Alberta. Bergamin said Gryphon focuses on providing “high-quality products and the highest levels of service to its customers, and we are proud of our association with such a dynamic retailer.”
The final honor, Lauzon’s Local Retailer of the Year, went to Tapis Richard Ranger Carpet of Alexandria, Ontario. Thanks to its community involvement, Tapis has managed to grow and maintain an important business in a small market area, Bergamin noted. “Its name is synonymous with sales professionalism, and its excellent service and mobility of installation crews are part of its value-added service.”
