BALTIMORE, MD., December 3, 2024 – L. Fishman & Son, the holding company owning Fishman Flooring Solutions, a leading distributor of flooring and flooring installation supplies, has purchased WJ Grosvenor, a major distributor of flooring supplies, tools, and accessories in the Northeast U.S. effective today. The transaction brings together two of the oldest and most venerable flooring distribution firms in the U.S. Fishman celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019 and Grosvenor began doing business in 1910, much of that time serving the flooring marketplace in New England. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Among the beneficiaries of the transaction is the New England flooring installation community, according to Wagner. Flooring contractors there will now have access to countless new flooring and flooring installation products currently distributed by Fishman, in addition to products distributed by Grosvenor. Included will be Fishman’s Landmark Interiors line of finished flooring products, including engineered hardwood, luxury vinyl tile and plank, water-resistant laminate, and sports and multifunctional flooring.

WJ Grosvenor will continue operating under its current name for the foreseeable future. Twenty of its employees, who are meeting customer needs at six branches in Massachusetts and a seventh branch in New Hampshire, will be joining Fishman today.
