Dallas, January 28, 2013 – Quick-Step, the style, design, and technology leader in laminate flooring is previewing a brand new collection and launching new products into existing lines at Surfaces 2013. Quick-Step’s new decors feature a superior level of realism and design, providing Quick-Step consumers with the best combination of style and value in the industry.
Launching at Surfaces, the Reclaimé Collection’s new line extensions offer the visual and charm of a floor constructed from reclaimed, vintage wood. The collection’s expansively 7-1/2” wide by 54-11/32” long 12mm thick planks create a substantial feel in a room. Also launching during Surfaces, the Veresque Collection’s new line extensions offer character rich Hickory decors and rustic Oak designs, all featuring GenuEdge Technology, a revolutionary innovation that delivers the most realistic hardwood edge visual ever seen in the laminate industry.
In addition, a brand new collection, Quick-Step’s new 12mm Dominion Collection, will preview at Surfaces, prior to its official launch during the summer of 2013. The new Dominion Collection includes reclaimed Chestnut designs that feature the time-worn, rich character look of vintage wood gracefully weathered by time and the elements as well as additional hand-scraped decors in domestic and tropical exotic designs.
Registered embossing is featured in most Dominion products for heightened authenticity and many of the Dominion SKUs feature GenuEdge Technology for the most realistic hardwood visuals available. All new Quick-Step products launching during 2013 are made in the USA.
The new Quick-Step products will be featured prominently during Surfaces 2013 in the Quick-Step booth #S6549, on the Surfaces show floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, January 29th through 31st.
Reclaimé Collection’s NEW Line Extensions
Quick-Step is launching line extensions into one of its best-selling collections, Reclaimé. The Reclaimé Collection provides consumers with the rich, character look of reclaimed hardwood that adds depth and personality to a room. Launched at Surfaces 2012, Quick-Step’s Reclaimé Collection has been so well received by retailers and consumers that four new decors are launching during Surfaces 2013.
Quick-Step’s new Reclaimé designs include an Oak decor featuring the visuals and charm of a floor constructed from reclaimed, vintage wood that has been white-washed by hand. The superior surface structure of this white-washed decor’s registered embossing, combined with 5-color printing, sophisticated styling, and detailed design achieves a heightened level of realism in this romantic, reclaimed visual. This new decor, appropriately named “White Washed Oak”, has been selected by Quick-Step’s designer partner, Erinn Valencich, as one of her 2013 Designer’s Choice products.
Three additional new Oak designs feature the rich, character look of rustic planks reminiscent of vintage wood gracefully weathered by time and the elements. These three new Reclaimé decors are offered in a light, medium, and dark brown. These new, soft, warm colors complement existing Reclaimé SKUs, nicely rounding out the collection to offer the existing extremely high-fashion colors enhanced by more neutral, mainstream colors. Effective shade variation throughout the planks lends further authenticity to these reclaimed wood designs.
The collection’s 12mm thick single planks create a substantial feel in the room, while the 7-1/2” generously wide by 54-11/32” extra long planks deliver unmatched realism and expansive style. Micro-bevels frame all four sides of each Reclaimé matte-gloss finished plank. The top layer of each plank also features a special anti-static surface that repels dust and dirt, making Reclaimé floors virtually maintenance-free.
Made in the USA, Reclaimé features Uniclic, the best and most widely-used glueless installation locking system in the world today. Patented Uniclic provides quick and easy installation as well as increased protection against water damage and warping. These floating floors may be installed on, above, or below grade level.
All Reclaimé products are CARB compliant and NALFA Certified. The four new decors carry an AC4 wear rating, and are backed by a Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty as well as a 5-Year Light To Medium Commercial Warranty.
All Quick-Step floors qualify as an Environmentally Preferred Product in most green rating systems, help a project get up to four LEED points, hold the prestigious FloorScore certification for indoor air quality, are made from 74% pre-consumer recycled material, can be re-used up to 3 times, and do not require glue during installation, avoiding introduction of volatile organic compounds.
The level of realism and sophisticated design in the Reclaimé Collection’s four new line extensions ensures that these new products offer consumers the best combination of style and value in the industry.
Veresque Collection’s NEW Line Extensions
Also launching during Surfaces are new line extensions in the Veresque Collection, another of Quick-Step’s best selling collections. The new products offer character rich Hickory decors and rustic Oak designs, all featuring GenuEdge Technology, a revolutionary innovation that delivers the most realistic hardwood edge visual ever seen in the laminate industry.
Two new single plank Hickory designs feature prominent yet harmonious graining, creating an elegant visual. These domestic exotic visuals offer a variety of distinctively different designs to achieve a wide range of graining and design variation within a floor. The new Hickory decors range from light to medium brown in color with high shade variation that further heightens the authenticity of the hardwood visual. One of these decors, Aged Cork Hickory, has been selected by Quick-Step’s designer partner, Erinn Valencich, as a 2013 Designer’s Choice product.
Two new Oak decors offer the rustic softness of wood weathered by time and the elements. These single plank designs accurately replicate lightly distressed Oak planks. One is a light colored Oak design with golden, honey-colored tones that add warmth and brightness to a room. This particular decor, Sand Dollar Oak, has been hand-picked by Quick-Step’s designer partner, Erinn Valencich, as one of her 2013 Designer’s Choice products. The other SKU is a medium brown Oak decor that adds a soft, rustic elegance to a room.
All of these new single plank products combine a lower gloss finish that is reminiscent of traditional furniture finish hardwood, lending a high-end refined look to a room, with a special scraped surface texture that adds the softness of a time-worn hardwood. This new textured surface nicely complements the existing Veresque SKUs that provide a smooth furniture finish surface.
The collection’s 4-7/8” wide by 47-1/4” long planks are on a premium HDF 8mm platform. The price/value resulting from this platform positions the collection in a mid-range price point, attractive to a large portion of a retailer’s customers. The top layer of each plank also features a special anti-static surface that repels dust and dirt, making Veresque virtually maintenance-free.
Made in the USA, Veresque features Uniclic, the best and most widely-used glueless installation locking system in the world today. Patented Uniclic provides quick and easy installation as well as increased protection against water damage and warping. These floating floors may be installed on, above, or below grade level.
All Veresque SKUs are CARB compliant and NALFA Certified. The four new line extensions carry an AC3 wear rating, and are backed by a Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty as well as a
5-Year Light To Medium Commercial Warranty.
Adding the GenuEdge treatment to the already authentic surface designs of the Veresque planks achieves a level of realism that is unmatched in laminate flooring today. This superior level of realism combined with the product’s many other features ensures that Veresque’s new scraped furniture finish designs offer the best combination of style and value in the industry.
NEW Dominion Collection
A brand new collection, Quick-Step’s Dominion Collection, will preview at Surfaces prior to its official launch during the summer of 2013. The new Dominion Collection includes reclaimed Chestnut designs that feature the time-worn, rich character look of vintage wood gracefully weathered by time and the elements as well as additional hand-scraped decors in domestic and tropical exotic designs. Four of the new Dominion Collection SKUs feature GenuEdge Technology, a revolutionary innovation that delivers the most realistic hardwood edge visual ever seen in the laminate industry. Also, the majority of Dominion’s new visuals feature authentic, registered embossed texturing that accentuates the natural wood grain, increasing the products’ already natural, realistic hardwood look.
A consumer will struggle to see the difference between real wood and Dominion.
Four of the Dominion single plank designs accurately replicate lightly distressed Chestnut and are offered in a variety of light to medium browns. These decors feature GenuEdge Technology for heightened authenticity.
The two medium brown domestic designs are infused with a grey influence. One firmly grounded in a distinctly traditional American brown, while the other offers a full grey tonality that is currently very popular. In many of today’s interior design circles, “grey is the new brown”, serving as the preferred “neutral” flooring color of choice now. These two embossed in register designs offer the softness of lightly distressed, time-worn hardwood.
The remaining two Chestnut designs are light to medium browns rich with gold, honey, and reddish brown undertones, adding warmth and brightness to a room. While still offering an ever-so-lightly distressed visual, these two embossed in register designs are unique in the way they contribute a soft rustic elegance to a room.
Dominion offers four additional SKUs in a variety of distinctly different decors. These designs feature planks framed on all four sides with a pressed bevel.
A tropical exotic Malaysian Merbau decor brings rich sophistication and style to a room. Dark chocolate in color, the richness of this exotic design is further enhanced by an authentic soft-scraped texture.
Also featuring a realistic soft-scraped surface texture is Dominion’s Walnut design. Walnut is one of the more beautiful and expensive hardwood species and Dominion authentically replicates the style of this rich, traditional hardwood design, accented with attractive blonde sapwood streaks.
The breadth of Dominion’s aesthetic offerings is rounded out with two traditionally American light-colored Hickories featuring a naturally authentic embossed in register surface structure reminiscent of a hardwood floor worn to perfection over the years.
The top layer of each plank also features a special anti-static surface that repels dust and dirt, making Dominion floors virtually maintenance-free. The collection’s 12mm thick single planks create a substantial feel in the room, while the 6-1/8” wide by 54-11/32” extra long planks deliver unmatched realism and expansive style.
Made in the USA, Dominion features Uniclic, the best and most widely-used glueless installation locking system in the world today. Patented Uniclic provides quick and easy installation as well as increased protection against water damage and warping. These floating floors may be installed on, above, or below grade level.
All Dominion products carry an AC3 wear rating, and are backed by a Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty as well as a 5-Year Light To Medium Commercial Warranty. All Dominion SKUs are CARB compliant and NALFA Certified.

Dominion’s high level of realism, texturing, plank size, and sophisticated design ensures that the new collection offers consumers the best combination of style and value in the industry.
