Preston Thompson's Carpet Shoppe opened its doors in June 1970. They were located at 702 East College Street next to First Federal Bank. The whole showroom floor consisted of only 800 square feet. Preston and Brenda Thompson made up the entire staff.
Since then, Preston Thompson's Carpet Shoppe has installed more than 50,000 floor covering jobs for people all over middle Tennessee. In 1983 the business broke ground at its present location, 207 Henslee Drive. Preston Thompson added an office complex consisting of 14 office spaces and warehouses. The Carpet Shoppe alone is made up of 10,000 square feet of showroom and warehouse space.
Preston Thompson's Carpet Shoppe has laid flooring in The Opryland Hotel, Ryman Auditorium, Horizon Hospitals, Dickson County Senior High School, Montgomery Bell State Park, TriStar Bank, Dickson County Court House, and Dickson County Board of Education just to name a few.
Preston Thompson's Carpet Shoppe has been serving Dickson County and middle Tennessee for over 42 years and is honored that you would trust them with your floor covering needs.
