Since 1989, the Hardwood Forest Foundation has been involved in a variety of educational programs and activities throughout the United States and Canada. We have distributed videos to more than 20,000 middle and secondary teachers through our Video Outreach Program. Distribution of more than 300,000 books has provided an opportunity for elementary students to learn about the importance of sustainability and smart forest management.
The Hardwood Forest Foundation has supported Teachers for the Forests, The Forest Discovery Center, the Wood Magic Show and Project Learning Tree. Major sponsorships have included the 2003 National Wild Turkey Federation's Operation Oak Program and the "Lives of a Tree" exhibit at the Children's Museum in Memphis, TN.
Our goal is to become the educational resource in regard to North American hardwood forests... providing information to all classrooms in the United States and Canada, and making this information available to the public as well.
