Both Showrooms (Rockport and Damariscotta) are very clean, organized, and staffed with folks that can't wait to serve the next person that enters " that" door. Our clients feel welcome, well served, and that they received a good value.
Floor Magic was founded in 1980 by Steve Frey on Newcastle. After a few years Floor Magic was sold to Ralph and Susan Pilsbury and within a few years moved Floor Magic to it's present site at 45 Biscay Road in Damariscotta. In 2005 the Pilsburys sold Floor Magic to Bob and Doreen Duke of Rockport.
Bob, who acts as its General Manager, went about upgrading the showroom, adding new innovative products, not found in the region and sustainable products like Real Linoleum, Cork, and Bamboo Flooring. In 2007 the Dukes expanded by opening a second showroom in Rockport, where the Dukes live. In 2008 the Dukes purchased the property it's Damariscotta Showroom operates on and built a warehouse adjacent to it. Growth has perpetuated the need to move its Rockport location to a larger space on Route 90, near other home furnishing retailers.
We love our community! We support the Rotary Club of Damariscotta-Newcastle, Midcoast School of Technology Board, Several Little League Baseball Teams, and Several Youth Basketball Teams.
