The journey of Farrior's Flooring began in December 1973 when the Farriors, fresh from college and fueled by ambition, opened their doors in the Rose Manor Shopping Center on the outskirts of Rose Hill. It wasn't long before carpet and vinyl flooring took center stage, signaling a new direction for the business. The initial success led the couple to purchase a historic building in Wallace for additional storage. This building, constructed in 1903 for T.Q. Hall Mercantile Company and later serving as A.C. Hall hardware, resonated with local historical significance and architectural charm.
Recognizing the potential of this two-story brick structure, the Farriors embarked on a renovation journey, transforming it into the new home for Farrior's Flooring & Interiors in January 1985. Located at 120 West Main Street, the store has since expanded into the adjacent 1920 Powell-Rivenbark building, providing ample space for their expanding range of products, including an accessory and gift gallery.
