The
carpet face weight is the
amount of fiber (in yarn form) per square yard of carpet. Obviously, a
heavier face weight means additional cost since more fiber is used, and it
is often an indication of higher quality. The style often influences the
appropriate face weight, so there is no ideal weight; generally speaking,
