I have not posted because I have seen this once, long long long ago, and it is driving me crazy trying to remember, it was not one of my inspections,,,,I just saw it in a house after it had been inspected and tested,,,,it is a shame to grow old not being able to remember this, old, decrepit, fat, ugly, with stinking feet....
can we break this down a little? like, what colors or dyes or pigments go into making this color? it is a beige right? red, yellow and blue in different amounts....Linda does color blending, is that correct?
so, the pattern does not look like it is a spill or mopped on,,,Ray, when you looked into the tile, did you see anything like maybe it is inside? and did you use a black light? on grade? what is the installation or did you say already!
it is a mystery! those are fun.

Aren’t Maya colors more stable in tile than synthetics.

I guess I was way off target here? Does the black light show us wear on the substrate?

Black lights Show Differences.
I did not put a black light onto this because it is TILE... .
Gonna have to hear back from the lab, but I'm thinking this is a tile defect.
As a rule: UV lights reflect optical brightners and oil, but not chemicals causing chemical reaction.

You're the one calling it both partner..... not me. If it was a stone I could see a way for discolorations to wick.

The installers removed 10 tiles in one area last Friday. The dealer is sending to TCA lab for analysis. The installer called and told me he saw nothing on the sub-floor but concrete.
Wait and see, this may take 6 weeks. He also told me the body had blue in it but not on the bottom of the tiles.
