3 pounds of tuft bind/what will happen

If the manus make carpet with 3 pounds of tuft bind, when the installers go to set some walls, even with such a light kick, they are going to likely tear-out some of the nap and when they try to powerstretch, the same thing is likely to happen, so hey, let em institute such, but don't blame the installers.

The industry must be bound and determined to chase all consumers away from carpet. If the consumers drag a couch across the floor, at 3 pounds, they are likely to tear some of the nap out. The same for other heavy furniture.

If the industry is trying to destroy itself, it couldn't do a better job and soon, no one worth anything will be working in this industry--as the installers will be blamed even more.

Let's see now, cleaning is just going to be a riot with 3 pounds of tuft bind. hahahahahahaha, all the cleaners are going to have so many problems with inspectors blaming them, that cleaners will have to take no responsibility or your not going to find any that will spend all that money on insurance.

You think there are problems now?

If the industry wants to change the tuft bind to that low, let them do it, but don't blame it on FHA.

hahahahahahahaha, some think there are quite a few seconds now, I just can't wait.

They can only make carpet just so cheap and still be a viable business and they are at that point now. Any cheaper and this industry will collapse. The people that can afford to go to hard goods will and the others will put down vct with throw rugs.

What type of people will be going into homes then Ray? Installers, cleaners, salespeople?

When you purposely make things worth dirt, that's the kind of people you attract.

What's even funnier Ray, is if they cheapen out commercial tuft bind. I can just see huge buildings carpets fail, one after another.

I wonder how long till all the law suits start.

When business schemes to make people replace their major investments so quickly Ray, they must destroy themselves and all they employ.

Here's another thing Ray, there won't be any repairmen, because at 3 pounds, you can't make reasonable repairs. The edges will flake-off at just a touch and if an installer manages to repair something, he's gonna have to put quite a bit of sealer on to hold the edge nap, that black lines will be forming a whole lot more often.

I guess man just has to destroy everything he touches. What does all this teach our children Ray? What's that word? Oh yea, pride.

When the countries of the world buy hundreds and thousands of war planes Ray, they gotta have somewhere to use them. The same with all the other war making instruments and the men and women that run them.

When anything is planned, like to cheapen-out carpet to its limits, they must find that way on purpose.

Ya can't turn children into monsters and idiots and expect to have a decent society.

If man doesn't destroy himself, God surely will.

I made this last post so that for at least once, I'd see more posts than page views. Smile

Like making war, I did it because I could.

Like making peace, I did it because I could.

It's really simple. To have a decent society, you have to treat each other in a decent manner. That means you can't teach children thru their parents, that money matters more than they do.

Work is a saving grace for many, but when it is brought so low, their psychie will be brought equally low.

How long before all this ignorance spreads into the streets?

Cut pile is 3.0, residential.
Commercial is 6.25?? I forget, but it is either 6.0 or 6.25# for commercial.

I'm only saying that is FHA minimum, nothing else.

Ok Ray, no big deal, but when refrigerators are made equally as cheap, then washers and dryers and roofing materials and on and on, you can say it's shake and bake and that you helped.
