Where's the beef----from?

Have any of you noticed that many times in the past couple of years, that beef has a foreign taste? Have you also noticed that some of the beef has a lot of antibiotics and other smells in it? Especially noticable in some slow cooked, pot roasts?

When I run across that stuff, most times I throw it out, depending on how much and what, but sometimes I eat it. After, I always take a few sips of straight whiskey, to kill anything possibly foreign.

In all seriousness, remember when it came out that grocers were 'gassing' the meat to make it more red in color? We stopped buying Winn Dixie beef for this reason.

Now, we only buy from Publix.. they assured us that they do not use this practice. So far, their meat tastes and smells great.

Ok, that's cool, but ask Publix if they are buying beef from other countries and I'll bet you don't get an answer or if you do, they will say something like--the gov won't allow us to discuss such.

Anyway, if your beef has smelled and tasted good, great.
