White carpet makes rooms look larger.
I've taken out white carpet on the last three residential wood jobs and the people say the room looks bigger, even bigger than when the crapet was new.
Wonder why that is? Seems like that to me as well.

White carpet makes a room look bigger compaired to dark carpet, the myth never compaired wood to it. The myth also is white carpet is harder to make a good seam in.

think of cloths, us fat people tend to wear duller to black,,,makes us look smaller!
look at a person, big person, wearing all white,,,,looks huge!
put them in black, not so much,
I think it has to do with about of light reflected, not sure,,,,now this is when having a woman around would be helpful,,,,women know more about light and colors than men....women see color better, they have an extra color thing, can't remember the name, on the retina,,,

I know I know, but it is what it is. Wood is kicking butt over carpet here. People are tired of it, especially the ones who bought white.
