I am actually older that Ray but better looking!!

Got bit by my first piece of carpet in 1968 in NYC doing union work.
Over the years I have had a store, a cleaning company, installed hardsurface, hardwood, and commercial. The floorbizness has been good to my family, not too many complaints about life.

Great attitude, Roger. I agree whole-heartedly. We all owe a debt of gratitude to an industry that has supported us for so long.

Michael,

It's nice hearing from you.

Perhaps you could tell us a little about yourself. What type of work you do, experience level, certifications, etc...

Thanks

I live in a small area outside of Dalton, GA. My main source of income is public safety at an area college. I install, do repairs and consulting on broadloom tufted products also. I have been installing for over 20 years, have worked for a couple of mills in quality control positions, and also worked with a few mills and Dupont in product development, and testing. I have been fortunate to learn the trade of carpet installation from a couple of the best, oldest, and most knowledgeable installers in the world. I do not hold any certifications, and I am not affliated with any organization.
