IFloor is shutting down.

I just heard today all 38 Stores are going out.

It is shame to close these places down right before the holidays!

It is more than a shame it is a sin!
How many families will not have a christmas for thier children.

Ya think he is going to make a profit on the flooring if he is selling it at cost?

perhaps Steve is just re-organizing. I would hope so.

I have to say, after all the griping and whining installers do about wages and what the retailer is paying them or not paying them.....it's a shame he might be going out of business. Places like that are great for the independant installer like me.

Lots of local stores closing the doors here as well. I guess one could always go work for the big boxes or maybe Indiana floors. sigh.

Steve has always supported the installers and independant installers. We need more people like him. Less interference from manufactures and distributors who will only sell to B&M stores that have historically taken advantage of the installer.

It's a sad day...

If this is true, it's a sad day for the industry. Steve is one of the 'good guys' who had a vision and pursued it.

The entire global economy is heaving right now. Hold on tight and manage what money you have... because things are going to get worse before they get better.

I got an email tonight that told me Steve sold his controlling interest and there is a CEO & CFO bearing responsiblity, it sounds like Steve was smarter than we thought and got out while it was good

Who is "we" Scott? I am amazed you could say that after the stuff you posted over at the FCI forum.

I hate censorship like everyone,
all I saw over there was a classless
act by a classless person.

In the end, class or lack of will be
revealed, and ignorant persons
exposed.

Maybe, Dan saw a classless act and
decided, that in the best interest of
what he could stomach and could
not stomach, to delete it after
discussions with key people to show
respect to the founder of Ifloor.

I agree to a point, Selva, but why not leave something that shows what Hugh is all about.

Rusty, Dan has people he has to report to and I doubt they would appreciate it. He is trying hard to get and keep the ship going during these hard times as I am sure everyone is.
If you think this tough economy does not affect advertising media your crazy. We discussed it before he deleted it and came to the same conclusion.

I think it was the way Hugh presented it that was found to be in poor taste.

Maybe David here will as well.

Rusty,
as always, you do show class and a
keen insight,,,

hey, sometime, lets have a good ole
fashion rant and rave for fun!

We could talk about, Stephen, you
can defend him while I call him a
nasty stinky car seat sniffing bad
installer.
