As you know, I am mostly a resilient hard surface installer. However, unfortunately, I have carpet experience.
I am to install a few rooms with wool carpet, mostly flops, couple of seams (I'll use my 'cool' cool glide)
The pad is one I have never seen, a wool pad. No skrim on either side.
Is there anything I need to know? Are there any 'tricks' for getting the carpet to slide over the pad without it bunching, folding, or curling? Should I staple the seams or tape (tape doesn't seem like it will stick well)?
I do not know the brand or manufacturer, but I have seen the pad. It seems to resemble the old 'hair pad' only 100% wool and no crap in it.

never seen it either Barry. I would fo it the old fashioned way. Trowel the seams with some multipurpose, or throw some in a bucket and drag it around the room with a string tied to it making sure you go where the seams are to be.
I doubt it going to be an issue stretching unless its a big room But starting in the center and going all direstions with the powerstretcher has always worked for in in iffy situations like that.
