Design Flooring Distributors Wins Top award

Clinton, S.C.— Anderson Hardwood Floors recently recognized those distributors who performed the best in 2005.

Six Awards were presented to reflect Anderson’s family of brands—Anderson, Appalachian and Virginia Vintage. Each is sold, merchandised and marketed independent of the other so the company wanted to honor the wholesalers who made the most difference with each brand.

Within each brand, Anderson presented two awards, one for Distributor of the Year 2005, and the other for Top Performer 2005.

Distributor of the Year honors went to Design Flooring Distributors in Deerfield Beach, Fla., for the Anderson brand, and to the Tom Duffy Co. in Fairfield, Calif., for both the Appalachian and Virginia Vintage brands.

Top Performers were given to R.A. Siegel Co. in Atlanta for the job it did with the Anderson brand; Wheeler in Orlando, Fla., for its work with Appalachian products, and Design Flooring took the honor for its performance with Virginia Vintage.

The awards are selected by Anderson’s three top officials: Don Finkell, president and CEO; Jeff Sills, COO, and Tim Tompkins, vice president of sales. They noted the honors are based on a number of criteria such as commitment to marketing excellence, striving to capture increased market share through aggressive promotion of Anderson’s brands, and exceeding budgeted sales goals, display penetration in a marketplace, detailed follow-through on all new product introductions, and active participation in Anderson mill tours.
