For the fourth annual awards, over 11,000 votes were cast by kitchen and bath professionals to identify brands and manufacturers in 25 different categories. Readers were asked to select suppliers or manufacturers based on specific criteria, including local availability, the support received from the supplier/manufacturer, price point for their typical client budget and other category-specific criteria.

In order to be selected as a winner in the kitchen countertops category, readers rated the countertops based on stain and heat resistance, as well as style and aesthetics. For the kitchen-flooring category, product was judged for style and aesthetic demand, as well as durability
