ST. LOUIS, Missouri (March 24, 2016) – The
National Wood Flooring Association (
NWFA) is accepting and encouraging donations to the NWFA Education & Research Foundation (NERF) during the 2016 NWFA Wood Flooring Expo registration process. Individuals who make a donation during registration will be entered to win big prizes in appreciation of their donation to help fund industry research and scholarships for wood flooring training.
Individuals who make a donation during their online pre-Expo registration will be entered in a drawing to win a NASCAR driving experience or a $2,000 cash prize. The winner will be drawn on the last day of online registration, Friday, April 22.
Separately, Lägler is celebrating its 60th anniversary during Expo with a fundraiser in its booth benefiting NERF. Raffle tickets will be sold to win a special edition Lägler carbon-fiber TRIO sanding machine, valued at $6,500. Lägler is making a second TRIO available to the NWFA for display and additional fundraising throughout the year at NWFA headquarters in Chesterfield, MO. Only three of these sanders were manufactured to celebrate Lägler’s 60th anniversary, which will standout for their charcoal gray, textured, metallic carbon-fiber casing. In addition to its unique look, the TRIO is a self-contained, nearly dust-free, multi-disc sanding machine that also aids in reducing the time and physical strain required on the jobsite.
“We greatly appreciate Lägler’s generous contribution of these special edition TRIOs and the tremendous fundraising value they offer to our organization, and all who benefit from NERF,” says Michael Martin, NWFA President & CEO. “Whoever wins these raffles truly will have an irreplaceable piece of equipment that will be the envy of their peers.”
The NWFA Education & Research Foundation (NERF) was established to provide industry research and educate future generations of wood flooring professionals. Thanks to the generosity of its members, NWFA has conducted research such as the Life Cycle Analysis of Wood Flooring, and awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships.
The National Wood Flooring Association is a not-for-profit trade organization, with more than 3,000 member companies worldwide, dedicated to educating consumers, architects, designers, specifiers and builders in the uses and benefits of wood flooring. NWFA members receive the best in educational training, benefits, technical resources and networking, to advance their professionalism and success.
