Artistic Finishes. One of the leading manufacturers of prefinished hardwood moldings in the flooring industry, has added seven exotic wood species to its molding and accessory program.
The latest exotic additions include Afzelia Doussie, Amendoim, Andiroba, Caribbean Walnut/Tzalam, Southern Chestnut/Chichipate, Teak and Wenge.

• Capella. Capella Wood Floors has named Clifford DeLoach regional sales manager. DeLoach, who has been in the hardwood flooring industry for more than two decades, will oversee the company’s sales effort in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Before joining Capella, DeLoach was with
Johnson Wholesale Floors for four years. He has also been affiliated with Primavera Distributing and Winco.

• Green Mountain Hardwood. The mill has appointed Coast to Coast Distributors, based in Oldsmar, Fla., to be a full-line wholesaler. In addition to oaks, merbau and maple, this offering features species such as American cherry, walnut and pecan.
“Green Mountain Hardwood,” said Jeremy Rousseau, Coast to Coast’s co-owner, “gives us the opening price points so critical in the builder business. We need more quality products in our sales offering.”

• MicroGraphic Innovations. The surface repair system producer is introducing an innovative technology.
MicroGraphic has developed a dry system, which allows for the precise placement of pigment, an application for fine line graphics, and easy color matching along with a complete repair/touchup solution that utilizes the ProShadefx, ProGrainfx and ProColourfx technology.
ProShadefx is designed to tweak the color of the fill so that outstanding color matches can be achieved with little effort or skill. It is available in 10 colors.

Preverco. The Canada-based mill has hired a new U.S. sales manager, Mark Murphy. Formerly of Prestolam, he will be responsible for the supervision of U.S. sales development.
As the company’s new U.S. sales manager, Murphy aims to quadruple Preverco’s U.S. sales within the next three years. By reinforcing relationships while generating new business with innovative sales programs, he feels that this goal is attainable.
“Preverco is investing a great deal in the penetration of the U.S. market, striving to become a top name in the hardwood flooring industry,” said Murphy. “It is a great and exciting challenge to take those aspirations and make them become reality.”
Prior to coming to Preverco, Murphy was vice president of sales and marketing for Prestolam’s U.S. division.
