(Loudon, TN; May 31, 2015) Founded in 2010, Anaheim, California-based Summit Tile is a wholesale flooring distribution company with a clear-cut mission: to provide great value tiles to flooring dealers. With over one million square feet of inventory in two strategically located warehouses, the firm specializes in imported floor tile, stones and closeouts. Recently, Summit signed on to distribute world-class porcelain tile produced in America by Del Conca USA, with a territorial focus on California, Nevada and Arizona.
“We heard the industry buzz and read all the trade press about this new factory in Tennessee that would be producing porcelain tile designed in Italy,” exclaimed Toan Ngo, CFO of Summit Tile. “That got us excited. We already knew about the Del Conca product manufactured in Italy. And now that it was being produced domestically, we immediately connected with DCUSA personnel. We really liked the products, in particular “Wine Barrel,” and together with Juan Molina, worked out an arrangement to work together moving forward.”
Ngo went on to state that the three products his firm will be carrying to begin with are Wine Barrel, a rustic “wood look” porcelain product offered in large “plank” formats; Siena, a collection with the amazingly realistic "look" of natural stone that has been developed specifically for the American market… and, Vesuvio, an elegant series of porcelain stoneware tiles which beautifully emulates light colored natural marble.
Juan Molina, General Manager/Sales & Marketing of Del Conca USA added, “We’re in a building mode. We’ve already built a centrally located, state-of-the-art porcelain tile manufacturing plant that is churning out high-quality products. And now we’re building a domestic distribution network with exceptional companies, such as Summit Tile. We believe this will be a strong, mutually beneficial relationship.”
The Del Conca Group is one of the main Italian organizations in the ceramic tile manufacturing sector, comprised of four production companies: Ceramica Faetano Spa, Ceramica del Conca Spa, Pastorelli Spa, Del Conca USA Inc.; one trading company: Produco; and Fondazione Cino Mularoni, a foundation dealing with cultural and social activities.
