McGraw Hill Construction has renewed its commitment by signing on to be the lead sponsor for Building Innovation 2014 following the success of the National Institute of Building Sciences’ 2013 inaugural Conference and Expo. For the second year, McGraw Hill Construction is adding their solid reputation as a reliable and trusted industry information resource to Building Innovation 2014. This Second Annual Conference and Expo, set for January 6-10, 2014, in Washington, D.C., will kick off the Institute’s 40th Anniversary and explore Advancing Life-Cycle Performance. About the Program
Building Innovation 2014 will feature symposia focusing on different aspects of the Conference theme, including a Plenary Symposium that will bring together the entire audience. Popular events, like the buildingSMART alliance™ Symposium, the Building Enclosure Technology and Environment Council (BETEC) Symposium, and the Low Vision Design Committee (LVDC) Symposium will be included. The Multihazard Mitigation Council (MMC) Symposium, FEDCon® – The Annual Market Outlook on Federal Construction, as well as innovative technology demonstrations, such as the Construction Operations Building information exchange (COBie) and related projects, will also be part of the Conference. And, new symposia on Commissioning and Resilience have been added to the schedule. Planned annual meetings to be held by each of the Institute’s councils during Building Innovation 2014 create the potential for attendance by a significant percentage of the Institute’s 1,000 active members.
