Suwanee, GA (PRWEB) April 18, 2013 - CFS Flooring hosted the April Planning Committee meeting for the 2013 Pink Ribbon Classic golf tournament and is this year’s Presenting Sponsor. The annual event is held at the River Club in Suwanee, Georgia. Last year’s event raised (gross) over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society (ACS). This year’s proceeds are already projected to surpass last’s.

The primary focus of April’s planning meeting was the identification and solicitation of sponsorships. Cash sponsorships begin at $500.00 for a hole-sponsorship. According to Mr. McQuilken in recent years around $20 million has been raised annually by the Georgia ACS. The majority of funds are raised through the Relay for Life events. Only three Georgia singular events net over $100,000. This places the Pink Ribbon Classic golf tournament amongst the top four singular event fundraisers for Georgia ACS.

The all-ladies event will be held September 24. This year’s “philanthro-sporting” event is limited to 32 teams and is almost full. Sandra Strickland is this year’s Honoree.
