Sassuolo, 5th December 2012 - Rational architecture, simple forms and neutral colours are the guidelines for the Porcaro In project, a commercial premises dedicated to clothing in Aversa (Caserta, Italy). Developed in 2010 by the architects Davide Gallo and Marco Ruggiero at DA.MA Design, the premises are spread over two floors, covering a total surface area of 800 square metres.
The choice of materials for the project was closely linked to the choice of flooring that required a product with a strong visual impact, able to characterise the surface itself and the appearance of the interiors. Primo Piano from Monocibec met all the design requirements in full and was installed in the 50x100 format in the Bone colour for flooring and in the 50x50 format in the Cerulean colour for cladding a number of walls.
The space has been designed to create an open environment, where clients can enjoy a harmonious and relaxing atmosphere. The main hub is at the entrance where, having moved the existing stairs to face the ingress, a kind of double point of entry has been created, providing the onlooker with a great view that takes in the entire space at a glance.
This project was selected by the jury of the second edition of the Quinquennial Tile Award, the international award organised by Fincibec Group and reserved for all those professionals who have used ceramic materials from Monocibec, Century and Naxos - the Group's three brands - to create important works in the field of architecture and design. The third Quinquennial Tile Award is currently open to entries developed during the five-year period from 2009 to 2013 in all fields of building: residential, public, industrial and commercial.
