Fincibec presents Antibact, the new antibacterial ceramic tile
Article Number: 7782

Sassuolo, 18th September 2012 – The ultimate ceramic line by Fincibec, Antibact involves a technique developed in the research laboratories of the Italian Manufacturer, which can be applied on all ceramic finishes. Besides being aesthetically appealing, it also guarantees long-lasting antibacterial properties that will contribute to safer environments.

Antibact consists of a treatment applied to ceramic materials, which absorb active ingredients that develop the important anti-bacterial properties, safeguarding the quality of closed environments. The anti-bacterial effects of Antibact have been tested by the Life Science Department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia which have determined that they do not require sunlight to be activated. It is the presence of humidity that enhances the active ingredient action that exponentially multiplies the sanitizing effects of normal cleaning operations.

"The Fincibec industrial policy continues in its efforts to protect and improve the quality of life and environment. In this regard – explains Vittorio Borelli, CEO of Fincibec SpA – the Antibact technology is the next step to the environmental sustainability certification, which our products have achieved in the past few years. The goal is to guarantee our customers products that actively contribute to physical and environmental health." The effectiveness of the Antibact technology has been tested on insidious strains, such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus responsible for potentially dangerous infections.

The first collection made with Antibact is Technica of the Century brand (Fincibec Group), which will be presented for the first time at the Cersaie Trade Show (Bologna Exhibition Centre, 25th-29th September 2012) at Pavilion 20 stand C24-D21.
