Las Vegas Market's New Social Media Campaign, First Look: Ready Your Repin at Summer Market a Huge Success

First Look: Ready Your Repin, a social media campaign that debuted at the 2012 Summer Las Vegas Market, July 30-Aug. 3, was a hit among attendees and social media enthusiasts alike. New products in all home furnishings categories, price points and styles were featured on Las Vegas Market’s new product-packed First Look Pinterest boards, which let buyers and interior designers weigh in on their favorite furniture, accessories and gifts.

The campaign gave market-goers a sneak peek into the newest must-see products and trends at Summer Market, encouraging attendees to log onto Pinterest at www.pinterest.com/lasvegasmarket, follow three First Look product boards (Furniture, Accents, Gifts & Holiday), and repin and like their favorite finds. In the weeks leading up to and during summer market, more than 600 followers shared their “Likes” and “Repins” in three categories: Furniture, Accents and Gift & Holiday.

First Look furniture followers favored the upbeat, vibrant patterns of lifestyle products designer Liora Manné, whose indoor/outdoor GIGI CHAIR earned top “repins” and “likes.” Shown in a painterly, antimicrobial and UV-resistant fabric called Floralies, the chair is available in any of Manné’s Lamontage patterns, which can be seen year-round at World Market Center’s Las Vegas Design Center, located in Building A, Suite 214.

First Look accents followers, fancied novelty lighting from Creative Co-Op this summer, and the company’s DOLOMITE OWL TABLE LAMP earned the most accolades. Equal parts whimsy and elegance, the stately lamp perfectly blended the formal/casual balance desired by many homeowners today.

Midwest-CBKThe romantic stylings of Midwest-CBK’s Vintage Chic Collection won the hearts of First Look’s gift and holiday followers this summer. The broad line, which includes textiles, lighting, picture frames and glass accents, offers nostalgic elements of lace and ribbons and a reserved gray/taupe colorway peppered with muted purple and black accents.

Other best-of-show products spotted on Las Vegas Market’s Summer 2012 Pinterest product boards include: a versatile ikat area rug from Surya’s Frontier Collection; heavily textured Trellis vases from Lazy Susan; the elegant Du Barry chest of drawers from John Richard’s Florence de Dampierre Collection; Peninsula Home’s Umbria table, complete with a scroll base and distressed tabletop; an adorable ceramic tabletop bird feeder from Napa Home & Garden; a contemporary centerpiece from Accent Decor called Beyond; Inspire wood signs from Collins Painting & Design and clever serving spoons from Shiraleah.

Followers received daily new product pins leading up to and during market and were able to identify the new products by the First Look stamp. Manufacturers of the products that acquired the most likes and repins will be featured in marketing campaigns and a special showcase at the Winter Market.

Las Vegas Market returns Jan. 28 - Feb 1, 2013, with thousands of not-to-be-missed new products. Highlights will include new fashion-forward assortments from Made Goods, Blue Ocean Trading and Brownstone in the B3 showcase; the Isaac Mizrahi Collection from Safavieh; the Winter 2013 unveiling of the Jeffrey Alan Marks Collection from Palecek and much more.
