New owners Sherri Zysk and Lee Baldwin, of Aptos (the Fog Capital of Santa Cruz) now operate the beautiful showroom as Gallery of Tile and Stone, Inc. Sherri and Lee have worked extensively in retail and in customer service. Their intention is to instill a more customer-focused way of doing business that suits coastal attitudes. The new owners have developed businesses in Vancouver, B.C., Arizona, and Hawaii, and bring fresh ideas and energy, with plans for improving customer experience and enhanced sourcing of tile and stone lines.

Sherri Zysk brings to the Gallery an exquisite visual design sense and a genuine interest in people. From her 25 years of private life-coaching and corporate executive coaching, she has genuine gifts for listening to what people say and how they say it. It’s easy for her to help customers sort through the many choices.

Lee Baldwin, an artist and jazz keyboard player, contributes a broad palette of talents and skills. Having worked in many art media, Lee sees tile and stone as an art medium. He is interested in exploring fresh ideas which can be expressed in tile and stone.

Designer Misty Caparra continues her five years at the Gallery. A seasoned tile designer and accredited interior designer, Misty is with customers on the floor, in design sessions, and in the field, helping clients and tile setters achieve their goals. Well known among coastal tile contractors and designers, Misty’s calm and knowledgeable way of working puts customers at ease.

Owner Baldwin remarks that, “Our customers have discriminating tastes, and they’ll be living with the result of this collaboration for years to come. We aim to make sure they are happy with what they achieve.”
