Jennifer Mendez, CRI vice-president for government relations, has received recognition in two capacities at the State Government Affairs Council (SGAC) Business Meeting, held August 8 in Chicago. SGAC is the largest national association for government affairs professionals.
Ms.Mendez was presented with the SGAC State Government Affairs Certificate, which is awarded to candidates who successfully complete a core curriculum of key competencies for state government affairs professionals. In addition, she was nominated to the role of board treasurer by the SCAC membership. Mendez has served on the SGAC board since 2007 and is currently board secretary.
Ms.Mendez said of the honors, "I am very proud to be recognized in this way, both personally, and on behalf of my industry, as I interact at SGAC with state legislators and lobbyists from around the country, and in some cases, the entire world."
