NEW YORK, NEW YORK- Designed on a pro-bono basis by the world-renowned architectural and design firm Rockwell Group, the bathrooms of the new home of The Blue School feature playful walls featuring Imagine Tile’s pebble tiles. Imagine Tile became involved in the project during a routine sales presentation where one of the designers mentioned the project and how they would love to be able to use Imagine Tile’s products but had no budget for it. Imagine Tile, which has always had a mission of helping non-profit organizations had a simple solution to the problem- tell us what you want and we will make it happen. All of the Imagine Tile used on the project was donated.

The pebbles pattern from Imagine Tiles Nature collection features rich blue-blacks that contrast with subtle earth tones and soft highlights to give the tile a luminescence and texture. The rich, natural imagery is the perfect compliment to the crisp lines and warm colors that are used in the bathroom.

Created by the founders of The Blue Man group, the Blue School is a non-profit school focused on creating unique and powerful approaches to cultivate children’s curiosity, creative expression, and self-awareness. Their mission is “to cultivate creative, joyful, and compassionate inquirers who use courageous and innovative thinking to build a harmonious and sustainable world”. The school is located at 241 Water Street, New York New York in a 6 story building that accommodates pre-K classes through third grade, with the intentions of adding up to fifth grade as the school grows.
