Finale Emilia, 12 April 2012 - ABK Group will be taking part in Coverings 2012 in Orlando (Florida, USA) from 17 to 20 April with its three brands Abk, Flaviker-pi.sa and Ariana. The US exhibition, one of the pre-eminent international showcases for the ceramic world, will give attendees the opportunity to view all the Group's new products in the same booth.

The exhibit, in Booth 5138, will guide visitors through the aesthetic language and design cues of the ABK Group's brands, focusing on the products in all their essentiality. Instead of pre-packaged exhibits, the booth will leave space for the imagination of architects and interior designers.

ABK in particular will be introducing DOCKS, a collection of dynamic and sophisticated surfaces inspired by concrete, the quintessential construction material of contemporary architecture. DOCKS comes in numerous sizes, six colours and two surface finishes, offering enormous scope for different floor and wall covering solutions. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, the floor tiles with their sober, elegant aesthetics coordinate with a wide selection of decorative offerings in keeping with the brand's longstanding tradition.

DOCKS
Colours and materials are the key design cues behind DOCKS, the new ABK coloured body porcelain tile collection that stands out for its soft touch and original texture.

A contemporary collection inspired by modern architectural concrete, DOCKS is ideal for use on floors or walls, lending form and personality to interiors.

Available in a range of six complementary and versatile neutral colours (White, Silver, Grey, Black, Bone and Warm), the tiles take on unique qualities according to the various finishes available. The natural surface absorbs light and has a soft touch while maintaining non-slip properties, and is also available in the Form finish inspired by the characteristic markings left by concrete formwork. The patinaed surface creates a more intense visual effect, reflecting light and assuming a attractive timeworn appearance.

DOCKS is created from large 60x60 cm and 40x80 cm formats which are cut into various submultiples and complemented by a wide range of accents and trim pieces. The new FOSSIL STONE collection from ABK is inspired by a natural material that has been transformed over millions of years into something entirely new. Made from hi-tech porcelain tile, it faithfully reproduces the aesthetics and texture of concrete, offering a new interpretation of this material with powerful visual appeal. Ariana will be displaying CONVIVIUM, an extensive collection focusing on the use and creative combination of floor and wall coverings of different sizes and materials. With its harmonious blend of terracotta, stone, wood and concrete, the collection comes in six colours and numerous textures that explore the varied world of contemporary living.

CONVIVIUM
In today’s living spaces it is hard to draw a clear distinction between ancient and modern. As the barriers between these conventional categories break down, interior design increasingly combines innovative forms and materials with objects inspired by the past.

Ariana’s CONVIVIUM collection is inspired by the eponymous Latin term, the traditional ritual of gathering around a table to eat and talk in the company of friends. Through the creative use of different materials and sizes, this collection metaphorically evokes the pleasure of socialisation and offers scope for original compositional solutions.
