PLAINVIEW, N.Y.—With approximately 50 mechanics and dealers in attendance, ProSource of Nassau, located here, recently hosted a seminar on how to better understand and handle the installation of different types of patterned carpets. Milliken and Kane Carpet co-sponsored the event.

“It was a fantastic night that helped Long Island installers and dealers better understand how to handle the installation of the different types of pattern carpets,” said Doug Katz, president of ProSource. “We covered everything from Axminsters, face-to- face Wiltons to tufted products.

“I appreciate Milliken and Kane Carpet for sponsoring the evening and making an investment to improve Long Island’s flooring community,” he explained. “I believe the better we educate our people the more the consumer will be happy with her flooring choices.”

Zevi Kozohar, Kane’s technical support manager, ran the seminar, which included information on both woven and tufted products. “Zevi made an unbelievable presentation that mesmerized the audience,” concluded Katz. “They were captivated. We had some of the best mechanics on Long Island in the room and the overwhelming consensus was that Zevi really knew his stuff and everybody learned something they could use everyday.”
