Article Number: 6380

(LAGRANGE, GA—FEBRUARY 15, 2011)—Jennifer Busch, Hon. IIDA, who for the past 20 years has been a fixture in the commercial design industry at the editorial helm of Contract magazine, and Vicki deVuono, an 18-year sales and marketing veteran within the Interface companies, have been named to two new positions established to enhance the role of the architecture and design (A&D) community at InterfaceFLOR. Busch will serve as Vice President, A&D Market Development and deVuono will advance to Vice President, A&D Product Marketing.

In making the announcement, Peter Greene, InterfaceFLOR’s Vice President of Marketing, said, “Jennifer Busch has been in an enviable position over the past two decades, fully immersed in the commercial design world globally, speaking to and advocating for the architectural and design community, and Vicki deVuono, in her notable career here at the Interface companies, has long provided a critical link between this organization and the A&D community. Their collective experience and perspective are invaluable, and InterfaceFLOR is incredibly fortunate to have them accept these newly created roles.”

Busch will be responsible for development and management of business relationships with major A&D firms throughout North America. She will be based out of the company’s New York Showroom and reports directly to Greene. Busch will start in early April.

She joined Contract in 1990 as managing editor and rose up the ranks to become editor-in-chief in 1999, and, subsequently, editorial director in 2006. She helped launch and edit Contract China magazine and the online publication Green&Design, and is credited with helping to strategically drive the transition of the Contract brand from a single design magazine into a dynamic media group with multiple strengths in print, online and face-to-face platforms. In 2009, she received Honorary IIDA status, to date the only design editor to have achieved such recognition.

As Vice President of A&D Product Marketing, deVuono will be responsible for strengthening the connection between the design community and InterfaceFLOR’s product and marketing approach. She will continue to be based out of the company’s Chicago Showroom and also reports to Greene. Her new assignment begins early May.

deVuono joined Interface in 1993 as Creative Development Specialist, a role dedicated to elevating the voice of design within the company. Following her advancement to Director of that team, she became Director of Brand Management for Prince Street, and later, Vice President of Creative Strategy for BentleyPrinceStreet, leading the launch of this newly combined brand in 2002. Most recently deVuono has worked in sales for InterfaceFLOR in Chicago. She began her career as colors and materials specialist at Perkins+Will, Chicago, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
