Dalton—Now in their third year of running regional meetings,
Shaw Industries and
Mohawk Industries will once again hit the road. Seeking to build on the successes of past years, both mills have released dates for their upcoming meetings.
Mohawk’s tour, set to run from December through February, will begin in Florida and move “Across The Nation” to more than 35 venues. Various events scheduled range from a single city with multiple days to traveling shows that cover specific areas in one day.
Mohawk’s Ed Williams, senior vice president of marketing, said, “The show schedule is designed to accommodate dealer needs in each of our distribution regions. They have shown to be a success by the attendance we’ve received in previous years.
“These events allow retailers to concentrate more on individual business opportunities,” he continued. “The retailers get personal attention while working with their reps. They also have the opportunity to talk one-on-one with the senior management.”
For a complete listing of venue dates, call Mohawk at 877/275-6642.
Shaw’s winter markets will begin in late November and run through February. To kick things off, the manufacturer will hold a series of regional meetings—Shaw’s Winter Tour—for its sales force from November through December.
Starting in January it will launch its winter market, which will focus on new products and retail programs. The 2-, 3- and 4-day events will stop at more than 27 locations and run through February.
The theme for both markets is “I want a floor that...,” a slogan which echoes the company’s national advertising campaign (
FCNews, Sept. 19/26).
“The events are designed not only to present new products and programs, but to allow Shaw management and sales personnel to give our customers what we both want and expect—quality time,” noted Scott Sandlin, Shaw’s vice president of marketing.” For a complete listing of show dates, call Shaw at 706/275-3691. Both Williams and Sandlin said the mills will continue to follow previous formats as dealers clearly prefer the regional show approach.
