BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, WASH.— Bamboo floor covering manufacturer Teragren announced that Mike Boshart, formerly vice president, has been promoted to president of the company.

“Mike brings a wealth of leadership and industry knowledge to this position,” said David Knight, Teragren’s CEO/CFO and former president. “His broad experience in product management, brand-building and go-to-market strategies— coupled with a broad supply chain background and international experience—is an invaluable asset to Teragren.

“Mike’s promotion will also allow me to focus on my strengths as CEO/CFO,” he explained. “A part of Teragren’s vision is to measure the company’s environmental footprint. Our goal is to become carbon negative by 2013.”

“In my new capacity at Teragren, I look forward to growing the company’s sales and global reach,” said Boshart.

Prior to joining Teragren, Boshart was general merchandising manager and corporate officer at iFloor, a multi-channel of specialty flooring retailers with 35 stores.
