Quick Drain USA, manufacturer of the award-winning ProLine Drain that’s revolutionized shower design and installation with its linear, channel drain construction, has announced that John Stenicka has joined the team as Commercial Sales Manager based at company headquarters in Denver, Colorado.
With demand growing for the official replacement to the traditional round-center drain that can be placed anywhere in the shower layout for uninterrupted tile designs, Quick Drain USA has brought Stenicka onboard at just the right time to head-up the commercial sales division with the continued rise in popularity and specifications of the ProLine Drain. Stenicka has a high-level of sales experience from his time as a sales engineer in the tech sector, and compliments this nicely as in recent year’s he owned and operated his own custom home building company in Greater Denver. With the housing market down and ProLine Drain sales up, Stenicka rejoins an old friend(s) in somewhat of a role reversal. Josef Erlebach, the inventor of the ProLine Drain, worked for Stenicka installing tile and stone for his home building company after arriving in the U.S. but prior to the official launch of Quick Drain USA.
“Who would have thought that someone could reinvent the drain after 4,000 years of civilization,” said Stenicka, originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. “But that’s exactly what happened. From that perspective it makes it a fun sale. It’s fascinating to be a part of what really is the ‘American dream.’ Especially right now, with everything that’s going on in 2010 with the economy and building in general.”
The ProLine Drain hit the market at the tail end of 2008 and simply took off in 2009. In the process, the stainless steel trench drain began to grab the attention of some of the world’s top architects and interior designers. The advantages of the ProLine Drain are difficult to ignore and only multiply when it comes to large-scale, fast-paced commercial building projects. Made in the USA, the ProLine Drain can be placed anywhere in the shower layout for uninterrupted tile designs even with large-format tiles. This benefit also provides the ability to create barrier-free, ADA-compliant showers or wetrooms by placing the ProLine Drain at the threshold of the shower. The ProLine Drain only requires the mortar bed to be pitched in one direction as opposed to the four times needed to slope down toward the traditional center drain for dramatic savings in time and labor.
