WASHINGTON – Glatfelter, a global supplier of specialty paper and engineered products, joins the North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA) as an Associate Member. NALFA Associate Members are corporations, partnerships, proprietorships or other entities that are regularly engaged in the business of selling goods or services to a NALFA Regular Member.

Glatfelter develops composite laminate overlay papers, which are used as a protective layer in household and commercial flooring, kitchen countertops, bars and décor panels. Glatfelter’s composite laminates are engineered to be strong and very absorbent to withstand different levels of wear abrasion.

NALFA offers membership in the following categories:

Regular Member - A manufacturer, marketer or importer of laminate flooring for sale in North America, but does not include retailers, buying groups, retail cooperatives, retail marketing groups or wholesale distributors.

Additional Brand Member - This includes membership recognition of other “brand” names of a company that already possesses Regular Manufacturing Membership under one of its brand names.

Associate Member - Any corporation, partnership, proprietorship, or other entity that is regularly engaged in the business of selling goods or services to a regular member (manufacturer).

Dealer Member - Any retailer of flooring products in North America.

Buying Groups - Groups that dealers join for the purpose of securing favorable products, terms, pricing etc.

Test Labs - Independent test labs approved to conduct NALFA’s performance testing.
