BERKELEY, CALIF.—CA International has appointed Phillip Cutts president of its Pinnacle Interior Elements division headquartered in Dallas. Cutts replaces founder and president Michael Kearins, who was assigned to a management position when CA acquired Pinnacle in June.

A home furnishings industry veteran, Cutts began his wood flooring industry career with Triangle Pacific as commercial sales manager of its Bruce Hardwood Floors division. During a decade of service in which he helped Bruce achieve double-digit annual growth and a series of key corporate acquisitions, he became director of commercial sales for the Armstrong Wood division when it acquired Triangle Pacific in 1998. Cutts left Armstrong in 2000 to become Western sales manager at Pinnacle. Continued success elevated him to vice president of sales in 2005.
