Mirage Lock: When quality goes hand in hand with the environment
Article Number: 4919

In 2007, Boa-Franc introduced Mirage Lock, an engineered floor with a locking joint system that could be installed without nailing or gluing. A combination of the quality for which Mirage has become known along with quick and easy installation, Mirage Lock maintains all the time-honored traditions of the brand: a wearlayer constructed of genuine sawn hardwood, precision engineering and state-of-the-art finish.

The product is made in single-action interlocking boards in five lengths. Each wide-plank board features a 3/32-inch surface layer of real hardwood with a finely milled micro-V joint on all four sides.

Mirage Lock also features Nanolinx, a nanotechnology finish that is more flexible and five times more resistant than most other competitive finishes. This exclusive finish contains antimicrobial agents to make the environment more hygienic and the floor easier to clean. But the biggest advance offered by Nanolinx is its improved transparency, which allows the natural beauty of the hardwood to show through more clearly than ever before.

This stable flooring can be installed over any subfloor such as wood, concrete or one equipped with a radiant heat system—on, above or below grade. With the exclusive pivot and hook system, the sides and ends fit together in one simple motion without having to lift the plank or use a temporary support (wedge) to hold the planks. No glue, nails or staples are required, which means considerably less installation time and more profits. In other words, professional installers and even do- it-yourselfers can install twice as many floors in a single day.

Environmentally friendly product

Mirage Lock is also environmentally friendly:

• Its HDF core is made with 100% post-industrial recycled wood fiber, while its ultra-thick wearlayer uses six times less hardwood than conventional 3/4-inch solid board to cover the same floor surface.

• The wood is protected with a durable, environmentally friendly and non-toxic finish that is hypoallergenic and contains no VOCs or formaldehyde.

• The tension-free Rightloc locking system provides the freedom to move the floor anywhere during future renovations.

• Products are FSC certified and fully compliant with phase 1 of CARB 93120 and the Lacey Act.

• They can also contribute to LEED points.

Mirage Lock is available in 45/16-inch planks in red oak, maple and sapele, and comes in 17 colors. It represents a true value.
