RESTON, VA.—With new local, federal and international laws and regulations coming on stream this year concerning the importing, buying and selling of wood products, such as the Lacey Act, as well as other overall environmental initiatives, the Hardwood Forestry Fund (HFF) has re-launched its hardwoodforestryfund.org Web site.
Featuring new and updated content and information, Barbara McClendon, HFF’s administrator, said the site was created to be an important tool in helping potential and current HFF members, partners and ambassadors keep abreast of the industry.
Some of the highlights of the site include: Detailed project information with 225 unique projects currently online and more to come; a green partners listing with links; a section for grant seekers, including the preferred tree species list, grant guideline sets, and grant applications; updated HFF and member news, with the ability for members to submit stories, and a support page which allows new members to make either an online donation to HFF or print out a form to mail in with a check.
