CHATTANOOGA -- May 26, 2009 -- Davis & Davis Rugs, Inc. announced today the completion of its acquisition of all the assets of Calhoun, Georgia-based Glen Eden Wool Carpet, Inc. Both companies are privately held and terms were not disclosed. Davis & Davis will continue to operate its Chattanooga manufacturing facility and the Glen Eden plant in Calhoun.

Dick Miller, President of Davis & Davis, stated “You’ll find Glen Eden Wool Carpet broadloom and rugs at many of the most prestigious addresses in the world. Being able to add that tradition and prestige to our well-established Davis & Davis brand portfolio places us in a very strong competitive position. We’ll be in great shape as the floor covering market rebounds in the coming months.”

According to Miller, “The existing Glen Eden brand structure completely complements what we already have here at Davis & Davis. Our collective customers will continue to engage with the brands they’ve trusted over the years, except now they’ll have access to a broader and deeper range of products and services as a direct result of the acquisition. We’re already working on new products which neither organization would have been able to produce on its own.”

Stewart Hay will remain as president Glen Eden Wool Carpet.
