Pfleiderer AG (ISIN DE0006764749) are supplying engineered wood products, high pressure laminates and flooring to Volkswagen showrooms which are undergoing a refit in accordance with new design guidelines. Products being supplied include Duropal’s high pressure laminate “SolidColor” in “Icy White” which won the “Architektur + Office” innovation prize and matches wodego’s decorative panels. Meanwhile
Pergo is supplying Volkswagen retailers with high quality cherry wood-effect flooring which matches the furniture elements being supplied by Duropal.
The main contractors of the Volkswagen car group and retailers are companies manufacturing furniture for showrooms using Pfleiderer products. “With Duropal, wodego and Pergo, Volkswagen has selected three companies in the Pfleiderer Group as suppliers providing the interiors for its redesigned showrooms,” explains Michael Wolff, Chairman of the Board at Pfleiderer AG, Business Center Western Europe. “Working with one of the world’s biggest carmakers shows yet again that our product portfolio is extremely attractive and meets the highest demands for design, quality and value for money.”
Thanks to the product and colour match between wodego and Duropal, tables, counters, shelving and design elements can be made in uniform “Icy White”, no matter what kind of material is being used. Furniture can be made in “SolidColor” without visible joints and edges while still being extremely robust. Volkswagen interiors are also benefitting from the close collaboration between Pfleiderer subsidiaries Pergo and Duropal: Pergo has carried over Duropal’s “Cherry Havana” furniture decoration to its flooring which is being used in sales offices, waiting areas and display islands in the new Volkswagen showrooms.
