Despite Tough Economic Times, Flooring Company Continues To Give Back
Article Number: 4382

April 2, 2009- Criterion Flooring Systems, LLC an epoxy flooring company on the east coast, continues to give back to their customers even though times are hard.

Each year Criterion Flooring Systems gives away a free flooring system to a fire station in need. Last year the floor went to a station that burned down and lost everything. When the floor was awarded to the chief of the station he could not hold back the tears.

“This is what we do” said Jim Peterson, Jr. Operations Manager Criterion Flooring Systems. “These men and women give their lives for all of us each and every day. It’s the least we can do”.

This year the finalists include:

• Another station that had to answer a fire bell that led them to their own station. They too lost everything and is now trying to rebuild.

• A historic fire station that is so old and in such need that the members are struggling to keep up with the repairs.

• A small town station whose town is quickly outgrowing it’s capacity to serve. While money may be given for new apparatus there are no funds to improve the station.

This year Criterion is reaching out to local newspapers and magazines to post the finalist in their publications so that their readers can decide who should get the free floor. The free floor will be given away on May 17 at the Lancaster Fire Expo in Harrisburg, Pa.

If you have a publication and would like to help, please contact Jim Peterson, Jr. at 410-379-5065.
